Q. How can I be apart of the RPJ Awareness Event for July 2?

Q. How do I request a speaking engagement for our event?
If you are interested in a speaking request, we have provided the following information. You may request online by filling out the Online Ministry Request Form. Please read and fill out the Ministry Request Form completely and submit it for our records. We will then contact you via email or phone. You can also mail in your request to the address below or e-mail your request to info@rpjministries.org. All information is for office use only and will be kept confidential. Please note that during Roger's basketball season (September to May), it will be very difficult for him to accept any speaking/appearance requests. However, he will take every request into prayerful consideration and will contact you if he can make it. Thank you for your understanding.
Q. How do I nominate a player?
If you are interested in nominating a player, please visit our Nomination page. Please be reminded that all parents are excluded from this nomination. Currently, the 2010 nomination process is open. The nomination deadline is June 28, 2010.
Q. If I have been nominated what do I need to do?
Congratulations on your nomination! You have joined the RPJ Elite Team. This means that you have either been nominated by a coach, teacher or pastor to join our 2010 Basketball Leadership Camp. The cost of the camp is $150. Please make note of this.

Q. How do I register for the camp?
If you are interested in this camp, you can apply right here online. Just click on the Apply button and fill out the Player Application form. Please be reminded that we will hand select those who are chosen to participate in the RPJ Ministries Basketball Leadership Camp. Currently, the 2010 application process is open. Q. How do I register more than one child for the camp?
You can only register one child at a time. If more than one child is interested in coming to our camp, you will need to fill out the Player Application again. Just click on the Apply button and fill out the Player Application form. Please be reminded that we will hand select those who are chosen to participate in the RPJ Ministries Basketball Leadership Camp.
Q. What is the camp date and price?
The camp date varies from year to year. The camp dates this 2010 year are August 3-5 at Calvary Church - Naperville. The cost of the camp is $150. If the applicant is accepted to the 2010 Basketball Leadership Camp, the $150 payment will be due by a certain date, which we will inform you of.
Q. Who is eligible and what are the requirements for the camp?
All High School Varsity Basketball athletes who are entering into their Sophmore to Senior year in the 2010 school year. You must have a 2.5 GPA or higher to qualify.
Requirements (WORD DOCUMENT ONLY):
2 recommendations (by a coach, teacher, or pastor)
One-page paper on the topic "Why I Am A Leader"
Each applicant will need to have two recommendations either written by a coach, teacher or pastor (parents are excluded). Also, a one-page paper is required written on the topic "Why I Am A Leader". This paper should demonstrate why you are a leader.
Q. What forms do I need to fill out for the camp?
The only form you will need to fill out is the Player Application form on the Apply page. Once you have filled out the form, you will be sent a letter indicating if you were or were not chosen to participate in the 2010 Basketball Leadership Camp. If you are chosen, the forms you need to fill out will be provided in the Participant Acceptance packet, if any are needed. Q. What does the payment include?
The payment includes a 2-night stay in a hotel as well as 3 main meals plus snacks. We provide the participants with new gym shoes, t-shirts, and an official RPJ Basketball Leadership Camp jersey outfit. Plus, some of the best basketball skill training in the state of Illinois.
Q. What are your cancellation and return policies?
There is not a refund policy.
Q. What are the policies on medication or dietary needs?
If there is any pre-existing medical issues or dietary needs, this should be addressed on the Player Application form. There is a section provided to inform us of this under the title "Special Needs".
Q. Can I bring my own music and other media devices to the camp?
It is recommended that you leave all media devices at home. This is for the protection of the campers and their items. If we find any items such as I-pods, MP3 players, stereos, cellular phones, laptops or anything of the sort being used without the permission of the staff or coaches, we will confiscate these items until the end of the camp. RPJ Ministries is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Q. How do I get in contact with my son during the camp?
Permission must be granted by the parent or legal guardian for the use of a cellphone during the camp for the player. Otherwise, please call Tara Powell at 815.370.0755 if there is an emergency. We will have our cellular phone on at all times for this purpose.
No. We randomly choose who will room with each other. We do this for the purpose of getting to know others and meeting new people.
Q. What should I bring to the camp?
All campers should bring a 3-day supply of snacks, gym shorts, t-shirts, athletic socks, underwear, and gym shoes. Bring toiletries and an alarm clock.
Q. How are the RPJ camps different?
We uniquely blend basketball training with Biblical training. We are looking to provide the participants with the skills that will help them to become leaders both on and off the court. We look to help the participants understand that there is a greater purpose to life than just playing basketball. It is about bringing glory to God in every area of your life no matter what your profession is. We are building leaders with character and good morals.
Q. How do you find your coaches and staff?
Each of the coaches and staff members are hand picked. We chose those who have a great understanding of basketball and who have biblical principles. We want the best leadership for our campers.

Q. What activities can the parents attend?
On the final day of camp, please feel free to join us at Calvary Church - Naperville. The time will be indicated in the Participant Acceptance packet. The final day will include the presentation of the players in several games and an award ceremony.
